Join us for the launch of Bad Gays, a book that delves into the lives of some of the most amusing, disturbing, and fascinating queer villains in history.

Based on the hugely popular podcast series, Bad Gays subverts the notion of gay icons and queer heroes and asks what we can learn about LGBTQ history, sexuality and identity through its villains and baddies. From the Emperor Hadrian to notorious gangster Ronnie Kray, authors Ben Miller and  Huw Lemmy excavate the buried history of queer lives. This includes fascist thugs, famous artists, austere puritans and debauched bon viveurs, imperialists, G-men, and architects.

This edition of BOOKS is co-presented with Rotterdam Queers. The program will take the format of an open reading group. Please register to receive a PDF copy of one book chapter, and take part in a tour of these amazing life stories that expand and challenge the mainstream assumptions of sexual identity.

This program requires a valid corona admission certificate (a vaccination certificate, negative test certificate, or proof of recovery). For more information, please visit this website.
